I help Canadian DTC founders test new styles in small runs — then scale only what sells — so you validate real demand before you commit to volume, and never sink cash into dead stock. Contemporary, mid-market womenswear, built on real quality standards and 35 years in apparel production, including 8 years inside China's e-commerce ecosystem. Made well — and made to sell.
Built for the contemporary, mid-market Canadian wardrobe — from everyday core production to a rising cultural trend.
My core category — dresses and elevated daily separates that earn the most repeat orders. Fit, drape and finish that bring customers back.
Water-repellent function, contemporary cuts. A must-have for the Canadian climate — engineered to perform season after season, and to sell.
A rising global trend — and a direct line to Canada's 1.7 million Chinese consumers in Toronto and Vancouver. Contemporary heritage design, open to creator and KOL collaborations.
Produce a small, validated run of a new style. Put it in front of real customers and see what they actually buy — before you commit to volume.
Reorder the proven winners and have them produced in 21 days through my own factory network. Chase the demand, not a forecast.
Garment manufacturing is a long, complex, experience-driven chain — no one person does all of it, and I don't pretend to.
My strength is the front line: reading the market and the trend, working closely with customers — my eyes are the customer's eyes — and matching the right fabric to the right style at the lowest cost, ready to ship inside the selling window. The making, I hand to people who have done it for decades.
Built to the standards of the American, Canadian and European brands we produce for.
A Hangzhou fabric-mill partnership since 2012 — real knowledge of how fabric and print factories work.
Production led by my partner of decades — traditional factory to e-commerce speed.
Quality run by a manager who built his career inspecting for American brands in Hong Kong.
Minimum 100 units per style, 21-day turnaround. China manufacturing managed end to end. Built for launching a new style or testing a new market.
From fabric sourcing to finished-garment delivery, I manage the full chain through established vendor relationships across Hangzhou and key production regions.
Not sure your design is producible at your price point? After 35 years across design, production and retail, I'll tell you honestly — and suggest alternatives that work.
Navigating China production as a Canadian brand is complex. I help you do it with confidence — right fabric, right cost, right partner.
My career began on a Hong Kong garment floor in 1988. I helped build buying offices in Hong Kong and found factory operations across Guangdong, Zhejiang and Shandong — from the south of China to the north — and worked with factories internationally in Bangladesh, Indonesia and the Philippines. In 2012 I partnered with a major Hangzhou fabric mill serving both China brands and US customers — learning fabric and print production to American, Canadian and European standards. In 2016 I moved into Alibaba's 1688 ecosystem and learned to run a factory at e-commerce speed.
Garment manufacturing is a long, experience-driven chain, and I don't pretend to do every part of it. My place is the front line: I read the market and the trend quickly, I work closely with customers — my eyes are the customer's eyes — and I know how to put the right fabric on the right style at the lowest cost, ready to ship inside the selling window.
The making, I hand to my partner of many years — 40 years on the manufacturing side, who walked with me from a traditional factory to e-commerce-speed production. Together, that is Test & Chase.
Inside the factory, the fabric markets, and the industry stages where this model was built and proven.
Tell me about your brand and what you want to produce. The first conversation is simply to see whether Test & Chase is the right fit for you.
